Qingdao Huazun Machinery Exports 20 Water-Jet Looms to India

Recently, Qingdao Huazun Machinery Co., Ltd. successfully completed an export order of 20 high-end water-jet looms to India, which will soon be shipped from Qingdao Port to the country. This marks another significant achievement for the company in deepening its presence in the Belt and Road Initiative markets, highlighting the growing competitiveness of Chinese intelligent textile machinery in South Asia.

The exported water-jet looms are equipped with moisture-proof and anti-rust optimizations for key components, specifically designed to adapt to India’s high-temperature, high-humidity climate. These improvements ensure ease of operation for local users.

According to a recent report by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), India’s textile machinery imports surged by 22% year-on-year in the first half of 2023, with Chinese equipment accounting for over 40% of total imports, making it the largest supplier. The Indian government has invested more than $2 billion through its Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme to modernize the domestic textile industry, accelerate the phase-out of outdated machinery, and create significant market opportunities for Chinese intelligent textile equipment.
