Qingdao Huazun Rijia Holds Joint Fire‑Emergency Drill
To further consolidate the enterprise’s primary responsibility for work‑safety, raise all employees’ awareness of fire‑safety prevention and emergency‑response capabilities, help them master fire‑escape skills and hands‑on operation of fire‑fighting equipment, and effectively prevent and mitigate fire hazards on the factory premises, Qingdao Huazun Rijia Co., Ltd. recently organized a full‑staff practical fire‑emergency drill in its factory area, in collaboration with Yanghe Town Emergency Office and the local fire‑fighting squadron.
Prior to the drill, fire‑fighting officers gave a special fire‑safety lecture to all participating employees. Combined with the actual conditions of the production workshops, they explained the characteristics of factory fire risks in plain terms. Emphasis was placed on demonstrating the operation of dry‑powder fire extinguishers, detailing the four‑step procedure: *lift, pull, aim, squeeze*. They also systematically covered key knowledge including evacuation in fire scenarios, self‑protection in heavy smoke, and handling of initial‑stage fires, correcting common misconceptions so employees gained an intuitive and thorough understanding of fire safety.
Following the theoretical session, hands‑on practical exercises commenced. Under on‑site guidance from fire‑fighting personnel, company employees took turns to operate fire extinguishers against simulated fire sources. Following standard procedures, they directed fire‑suppressant agent at the base of the flames to master real‑world fire‑extinguishing skills.

Subsequently, a fire‑evacuation drill was carried out. Simulating a sudden factory fire, upon the alarm signal, all employees followed fire‑escape protocols: covering their mouths and noses with clothing, bending low, and moving rapidly along pre‑set evacuation routes. Staff evacuated in good order from production workshops to the designated safe assembly zone outdoors. The whole evacuation proceeded efficiently and calmly, completing the evacuation exercise successfully.

Staff from Yanghe Town Emergency Office supervised the whole activity. They commented on drill workflows and personnel responses, pointed out procedural details to be improved, and stressed that enterprises should continuously strengthen fire‑safety management, conduct regular hazard inspections, and make fire‑safety training and drills a regular practice.

This government‑enterprise joint drill integrated theoretical instruction with hands‑on practice. It enabled all staff of Huazun Rijia to become proficient in fire‑extinguisher operation and self‑rescue during fire emergencies, and verified the feasibility of the enterprise’s fire‑emergency plan. Going forward, Qingdao Huazun Rijia Co., Ltd. will keep work‑safety high on its agenda, conduct regular safety education and emergency drills, consolidate safety foundations within the plant, and build a robust safety barrier for stable production and operation.
